Nintendo DS Shop was online store that allowed users to download DS Ware games and applications, which were paid using a Nintendo Points Prepaid Card, and were available on Nintendo DS and Nintendo DS XL systems. Application prices follow a 3 tiered pricing scheme. Service launched with Nintendo DS Browser, a free web browser developed by Nintendo and Opera Software. A trial campaign formerly offered 1,000 free Nintendo Points to each DS or DS XL that accesses shop.

On April 1, 2016, Nintendo announced plans to shut down Nintendo DS Shop. Nintendo Points were made unredeemable on September 30, 2016, and entire shop shut down completely on March 31, 2017.
